You’re gonna piss off a lotta people when you call it “quits” on a relationship; much less a marriage. But that’s okay.. the people who are meant to be in your life will still be there. And all that really matters in the end is your own soul, and your children (if you are blessed enough to have them). Doing what’s right for YOU isn’t gonna look “right” to everyone, but at the end of the day their opinions really don’t matter.

This will hit you even harder if you’re from a small town where everyone you both grew up with know you separate (growing up) and together as some power couple-but I’m learning you don’t have to explain yourself..let them think and say what they want.

The people who really know me know how hard I fight for love, so for me to finally call it quits should tell you everything you need to “know”.

My kids will be more than fine, him and I will be okay, and me? Well I guess I’ll find that strength on my own-trusting in my own intuition.

Divorce is ugly.. it’s sad, and it affects a lot of people-there’s no doubt about that. But this is also MY life. And I’m unapologetic to everyone when it comes to matters of my own heart and soul.

I’ve always thought it’s okay to lose yourself in love.. but I never wanna do that again. I love who I am, flaws and all. And it feels really good to have found myself again…

Music is hitting deeper, I’m back to my love of putting words on paper-and the sky? Ugh, how did I go so long without feeling Her beauty like I use to? Life is so beautiful, and I feel like I’m finally back in it; unaware of when it stopped feeling this way. But here it is again, the thunder outside rattling my body back to existence. I’m not even a speck in the greatness of it all-but I won’t dull my shine any longer out of fear. I took the jump and it’s invigorating… I’m alive again.

And I’m just so thankful.
